The Eye of Judgement - this is the kind of game that only guys who enjoy tabletop RPGs and Magic: The Gathering would pay attention to. Some would stop to look at its graphics, say it's pretty cool, then look away. That lukewarm reception is bound to change, as the game is shaping up to be more than meets the eye.
MotorStorm senior US producer Felice Standifer answered a few questions to give us extra info. As we all know, The Eye of Judgement will be introducing the PlayStation Eye for its card recognition feature. Players who want to improve their library on the PS3 can grab booster packs on retail shelves then scan the cards' Cybercodes to the EyeToy-like gizmo.
Standifer considers the online service as one of the coolest aspect of the game. Indeed, playing with people all over the world sounds fun. Another is seeing monsters from cards come to life in 3D. Given around 100 different cards from booster packs, it shouldn't get old too soon.

The Broken Kingdoms by Darren Reid and NextGenBooks has some new stuff to offer this week. The biggest of which is a brand new quest that requires no violence and some sharp thinking, like all of the other quests in the game. The Tavra Cirty Quest will throw you into the thick of things as you try to find the lost histories for Lord Graceland.
If you're not familiar with the game, it's an MMORPG-style title for the Sony PlayStation 3, Nintendo Wii, DS, and PSP. It balances action with puzzle-solving to make the game as diverse as can be. It has simple point and click controls that can be used to interact with the environment. The game is run using the browsers of each platform for ease of use.
One key feature that The Broken Kingdoms offers is that it has an in-game forum and profile creator that allows players to interact and create stuff at a whim. The developers call their title a more "casual" MMO which anyone can pick up and start to role-play with.

Madden is comparable to Halo in terms of popularity, sales, and reception of American gamers to the titles. It's not rocket science to figure out how every new football game (be it Madden, All-Pro, or NCCA) drives console sales. PlayStation experienced much success with the genre, but 1UP believes that things aren't too hot for Sony anymore.
"Xbox 360 versions of Madden NFL 08, All-Pro Football 2K8, and NCAA Football 08 will run at 60 frames per second, whereas the PS3 editions are locked at just 30fps," reports 1UP. Looks like a major disadvantage? Sony doesn't seem bothered.
"We have already proven that sports titles can run on the PlayStation 3 at true HD with 1080p output with NBA 07. If you have questions about specific third-party games, you should speak to those publishers," said Sony CEA's senior director of corporate communications Dave Karakker.
EA replied, supporting both platforms. "We want to make sure that we give the best experience we can on ...

IO Interactive taking a 360 turn from the Hitman series is an understatement; Kane & Lynch:Dead Men is in an entirely new world of blood money and dead men. Enigmatic guys with guns are still there, but the traditional hide and seek is nowhere in sight.
In the exclusive gameplay video taken by Jeuxvideo.tv, we see that these bad guys would pull their arsenal out without second thought. Doesn't matter if the place is populated with civilians and covered by police - if they shoot, shoot them back and nail 'em to the ground.
Like what we heard before, the player will be backed up by a bunch of guys under your commands. "Go there, do that, kill them for me" is the motto, made easy thanks to the intuitive system.
Talking about gunplay, the duo doesn't do anything groundbreaking. Clear out a route to exit the building, go crazy down the roads filled with cops - it's what some might think as your basic action shooter fare on next-gen platforms. Then a...
