There was just a couple of updates since Electronic Arts revealed the new Simpsons game in their two-nighter event, so it probably was a blessing that Homer bowled his way in through the ruckus at the E3 Media & Business Summit and dropped two more trailers in his wake.

While the movie trailer has been milling around for weeks in cinemas, The Simpsons Game is also rearing itself for adoption by fans around the world on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, DS, PSP, and the PS2. The two trailers provided give you a sneak peek at the graphical quality of the game, including a few cues for camera angles, gameplay concepts, and a little humor with hatches.

Two nights ago, I enlisted your help in determining the contents of a mystery bottle sent to me by the Sony VAIO team. There were plenty of good guesses—Apple juice, Soylent Green, blanc de noir, and of course, the blood of PS3 engineers. Well, I'm not going to say you're all wrong, but some of you are not right. You want answers? You want the truth? Jump (yes, jump) and watch me unlock the secret of the Sony mystery bottle in living video.

So there you have it. Mystery solved. And, as a bonus, you now know what my kitchen looks like. Thanks for being there.

In addition to having the fantastic Wii Party Station, Nyko also had a bunch of other accessories for all three consoles. First, a wireless Xbox 360 Guitar Hero guitar, which is still in the prototype stage and may not even make it to market. Their guitar may hit a whole three months sooner than the official Guitar Hero III wireless guitar, but there are a couple caveats. One, you need a wired controller to hook the whole thing up.

Instead of using the default Microsoft wireless controller scheme, which Microsoft's still being stingy about, Nyko's gone and made their own. It requires an adapter box (included), and a wired controller (it can be a regular controller or even a wired Guitar Hero guitar) to be plugged in while in use. The good news is that all the functions, including whammy and tilt star power actually works.
Nyko's still not sure on the price or whether they want to bring it to market at all, since th...

Video game news website IGN reports that a sequel to Codemasters' Colin McRae: DiRT (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360) is already well into production. The sequel will reportedly address quite a few concerns put forth by gamers about the first game.

"All the stuff people didn't like about the first DiRT will be changed for DiRT 2," explained Matthew Horsman, DiRT's chief game designer. Horsman also mentioned that "DiRT 2's online mode will offer a much more embellished experience so everyone will be happy."

The DiRT 2 team is also reportedly working together with COG, Codamesters' online arm, to beef up the game's multiplayer aspect. The original game featured online leaderboards, but the possibility of a full-fledged multi-car race mode seems a likely - and welcome - addition.

Continuing our coverage of the ongoing E3 Media and Business Summit, here's a new video of the upcoming multiplatform FPS title Enemy Territory: Quake Wars (Mac, Linux, Games for Windows, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360).

This video is essentially a demonstration of the different customization options available to the Global Defense Force and the Strogg. We also get a look at the different combat roles that players can choose to play as along with a look at Quake Wars' mission system and the different objectives that can be assigned to players throughout the course of a mission.

There's also a cool demonstration there of the different ways players can choose to tackle a given objective or target. Not only can players shoot the wheels off of vehicles rather than blow them up, they can also choose to repair them with the help of a trusty pair of pliers. Pretty cool stuff. Check out the vid below.

It looks like we could soon be in for a good old fashioned price war, with talk of yet another PS3 price cut already spreading just days after the last one became official. What's more, this latest rumor appears to be based on more than just idle speculation, coming instead from Capcom's Capcom Chief Financial Officer Kazuhiko Abe, who told Reuters that the price "is likely to be cut again towards the end of the year," adding that he expects the PS3's installed base to "grow gradually." While there's no indication of just how big a price cut it'd be, any further drop would certainly put a crimp in Microsoft's rumored plans for a significant price cut of its own, though we doubt too many other people will be complaining.

Electronic Arts (EA) and Harmonix sent in two new press released today regarding the in-game content for video game Rock Band that is expected to be released on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 platforms. The first among the many revelations is that full-length albums will be available for download aside from the game's first 16 songs.

Aside from that, it was also said that the first album that will be ready for download is The Who's iconic record "Who's Next" that made tremendous waves during its 1971 release. If that still didn't do it for you, be informed that MTV Networks and Harmonix also announced that they have just signed a deal with legendary band Metallica.

"Metallica is one of the best loved bands in the world and their albums redefined hard rock and metal. Its one of the bands we had to bring to the Rock Band experience," commented Harmonix CEO and Co-founder Alex Rigopulos. Likewise, MTV Senior VP for Audio, Home Video, and Games Paul DeGooyer ...

Quite honestly, Sony can't have an E3 Press Conference without including video game SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Confrontation. The video clip below was taken during the said conference and has Slant Six Games Design Director David Seymour talking about the title and its various next-gen features.

Aside from that, Seymour mentioned that there's going to be a downloadable version of SOCOM: Confrontation aside from the already mentioned full retail copy that should be available around Fall. This, he suggested, will have certain advantages since the game is running directly off the the PS3's hard drive.

Fans of the franchise since the last cycle might also want to watch the video until the latter parts as the design director compared Confrontation with the other SOCOM iteration on the PlayStation 2 (PS2).
