Sony's showing at E3 was undeniably breathtaking for everyone, especially gamers who've been aching for anything Killzone 2 or Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. The guys over at Gametrailers were able to have a word with Phil Harrison, and he is definitely nothing less than satisfied.

Asked what Sony's explosive conference was all about, Harrison pointed at the games and the deep message of what's coming to all PlayStation platforms. Regarding the announcement of a price cut before E3, he doesn't see the timing as significant as the ultimate goal of stimulating demand and enlarging the installed user base.

When asked about the reason behind signing with Epic Games to deliver Unreal Engine 3 to the PlayStation 3, Harrison said it's not about Epic's success on the Xbox 360 but more of helping out to fine tune the engine using the advantages Sony's hardware has to offer.

Take it from the man himself as Harrison talks about games on PSN, Home's innovatio...

Analysts have had the chance to air their predictions prior to this year's E3 in Santa Monica, where some of the forecasts held true while the others swung and missed. Gamespot ran an article recently on the impressions of familiar analysts on Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft's announcements.

Kicking things off for the think tank, Nintendo impressed everyone with the announcement of some new accessories for their Wii game console. The Zapper gun drew some attention and nobody could whine about the Mario Kart Wii steering wheel. But what got everyone riled up was upcoming biggie Wii Fit and the seemingly ingenious Balance Board set to ship with it.

Wii Fit and its Balance Board "looks good and will appeal to the casual audience that Nintendo is tapping into," says Colin Sebastian of Lazard Capital markets as he observed the Kyoto-based company's successful press conference.

Other analysts like Nollenberger Capital Markets' Todd Grunewald agree. He comments "...

Now, personally, I'm not much of an FPS fan. This title's got my interests quite piqued though: Portal from Valve Corporation, set to be released on the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.

While we've heard all about it since time immemorial, a lot of you (myself included) might still be a bit confused about how the game actually goes. For one, I was never really able to grasp the whole concept of how an "FPS-puzzler involving portals and warping space" would play like.

So, if you've got the same sentiments, feast your eyes on this E3 developer walkthrough. Portal, set in the Half-Life universe, will have you running through rooms (literally) with the help of a gun which can create portals. Kinda trippy too if you see the gameplay footage as seen below. You'll probably be using more of your brains and spatial-relations than FPS skills. Here's a game which will probably make Stephen Hawking proud.

Portal is to be released on October 9 as part of the Half-Life 2 bundle...

Fans of the legendary coin-op lightgun shooter will definitely appreciate this video update about Namco Bandai's Time Crisis 4 for the PlayStation 3 - not only do we get to see the new GunCon in action, but also a gameplay video of one of the more intense stages in the game. We get you locked and loaded and ready for some shoot-em-up action, Time Crisis style.

The first video's all about the GunCon, as was previously stated, and we get to see just how it functions with that rather cumbersome-looking attachment. Turns out that it's the home console equivalent of the coin-op's foot pedal. Fans will remember the footpedal as a key factor for survival in the game, as it's pretty much your only line of defense against red shots.

The second video's about the parts of the game set in caves - and as you can see, things get pretty dicey when you're stuck between a rock and a firefight. We also see one of the game's feared enemies, a bristling horde of terror bites. Bugs, bugs,...

For those of us who didn't get to see Sony's demonstration of Killzone 2 in E3, here's a special treat - the conclusion of the demo itself, captured in all its next-gen glory. Let's sit back, relax, and savor the awesomeness that radiates from what looks to be this generation's killer app for the PlayStation 3.

You've probably read these words already, but they bear repeating: the graphics look absolutely amazing. Everything's smooth and detailed and sharp, so much that we can't tell if it's CGI or actual gameplay. Little details we noticed - your gun shakes convincingly with every step you make while firing, blood that pools out of every fresh kill, the slick framerate that's frighteningly realistic. If there's a title to look out for that sports the absolute pinnacle of this generation's graphics, Killzone 2 is it.

Updates as we get them - enjoy the video!

Lightning-fast and silken-smooth gameplay, wicked-looking transportation, and undeniably awesome hardware to be seen in this short-but-sweet in-depth developer interview of Epic Games' Unreal Tournament III for the Xbox360, PlayStation 3, and PC. Listen close and watch even closer, else you're going to miss out on some of the best eye candy E3 has to offer.

In this video interview, we find out from Adam Hanson, assistant producer of Midway Games, about the tons of new content they've put into Unreal Tournament III - and looking at the gameplay bits, it's the understatement of the year. More gorgeous-looking environments, scarier monsters, flashier effects and hardware - it's all there. The guns you'll be using all have different modes of fire, and fan favorites such as the Flak Gun will be making their return in this sequel. The vehicles also get the next-gen treatment, and Adam Hanson himself reassured that there's going to be different types of a certain vehicle, with unique...

(From the Editor: Welcome to the third issue of our weekly feature, QuickJump QuickPeek! The feedback we've been getting from you guys has been great since the first issue was released three weeks ago. As a sign of gratitude, we're adding a new section that serves as a tribute to the best part of the industry; it's not Jade Raymond silly, we're talking about you guys! We won't be spoiling anything in the intro part, you have to go "peek" with us to find out. On to our third ish!)

It's been said that obsession, rather passion, is the most powerful driving human nature (it's not friendship either, go back to playing Pokemon). And this week's big events were glaring testaments to that line of thinking. For the fans' obsession for more affordable stuff, we were given a PS3 price cut; for the people raving about slimmer figures, we were given the Wii Fit and the PSP Slim; and for the people obsessed with gaming news, we were given the madness that is E3. It's been excruciating...

If you're a big fan of The Simpsons like most of the QJ blogging team, you'll definitely want to take look at these ten screenshots from the game. Why? Because it looks to be very accurate to the source material, and will induce quite a few chuckles from those who get the referrences.

Most of those who have been following this game know that they've included spoofs on more popular games such as:
God of WharfShadow of the Colossal DonutMedal of HomerIn addition to the above, they've even included a pretty big twist in their choice of a final boss.

The Simpsons will be available on multiple platforms (DS, PS2, PS3, PSP, Wii, Xbox 360) and is set to be out this Autumn in the US. While waiting for this to come out, why don't you check out some of the E3 screenshots? More updates as they happen.

We're faced with stylish demon-slashing action (as well as the occasional rain of bullets) in this latest batch of E3 gameplay videos about Devil May Cry 4 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Here's the skinny on what's new with Nero and Dante and all the unspeakable terrors they'll be juggling back and forth with sharp pointy objects.

The first video is a developer interview with Hiroyuki Kobayashi, and the producer talks about how Dante's presented as more of a villain this time around. He also differentiates the two protagonists, saying that the wise-cracking demon slayer from the past three games is more of a "mature cool" guy, compared to Nero - and from the looks of the gameplay bits in the video, it's safe to say that he's just as snarky as Dante. Which of course is still awesome.

The other two videos in this update shows off two of the many kinds of monsters you'll be facing off against. One of them is the Rancid Doll, which looks (and attacks) in a similar fa...
