GameStop has released pricing for the upcoming game Rock Band. Of course there has been no official confirmation. That would be silly. And GameStop has a history of being wrong on stuff like this, so take it with a grain of salt:
Rock Band Bundle (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360) - $199.99The Rock Band Bundle for the [...]

It was bound to happen. The number was too fantastic, and thus prone to get some kind of backpedaling from Sony. As expected, we now have it.
It seems Kaz Hirai's claim of 380 PS3 games was actually referring to worldwide numbers. In truth, Sony's really going to be churning out the more realistic number of 145 or so games for American audiences.
What's the makeup of that 145? According to Sony, 40 of those will be PlayStation Network titles, while the remaining 105 will be boxed titles. On the bright side, this does include some highly-anticipated titles, such as Lair and Metal Gear Solid 4, so folks shouldn't worry about the numbers so much, as long as the quality is good.

Space on your PlayStation 3's USB ports getting sparse? We're letting the guys know that accessory manufacturer Nyko Technologies - known for their Intercooler line of accessories - has just announced that they're now shipping two new products for the PS3 console: The ChargeBase, and the BluWave.
The ChargeBase accessory will allow users to allow PS3 owners to charge up to four SIXAXIS controller at once and, given that it uses a wall socket instead of a USB plug, should help free up some needed space on your console's USB ports.
The BluWave, on the other hand, is an infrared remote for the PS3's resident videophiles. This device should allow movie fans the ability control their PS3's Blu-Ray player with something a little more traditional than the aforementioned SIXAXIS controllers.
We don't have any info on these two device's prices - stick around in case we pick up more info in the upcoming days.

Sunny Sony San Diego has recently revealed that the studios' developers have recently shifted focus from traditional boxed titles to PlayStation Network games. SCEA producer Jim Molinets, director of product development at the studio, said, "Internally, we have shifted our focus from doing large-scope PS2 and PS3 titles to doing PSN titles exclusively."
The San Diego developer studio now has three smaller groups, composed of ten-man teams that pour their collaborative efforts on downloadable games for PSN. "We really utilize the strengths of all the different people within the studio. Each individual product has a technical lead, a design lead, and an art lead," Molinets added.
Unlike Microsoft's approach to third-party offerings over Xbox Live Arcade, Sony's approach leans toward the first-party side. As compared to Carbonated Games Studios' Uno, Sony offers Blast Factor and David Jaffe's Calling All Cars, which are accompanied by Sony Online Entertainment...

It took a little longer than expected, but it's finally here. We're letting the guys know that the North American release of Evolution Studios' MotorStorm's Time Attack patch has finally been released for the PlayStation 3 console via the PSN Store.
This latest game downloadable will have players challenging their own "ghost" as they try to get the fastest time possible in MotorStorm's dirt-encrusted tracks. And in case you happen to be one of the better drivers out there, your ghost can also be uploaded on the ghost leader board online, where other players can challenge them.
To download Time Attack, you must first load your MotorStorm game's Blu-Ray, go online, and update with the game's latest patches (in this case, that'd be 1.2). After this, head on over to the PlayStation Store, and download Time Attack - it should work properly if you did everything properly.
Aside from this PS3 update, we're letting PSP owners know that two classic PlayStation One ga...

And just to settle the score against the competition, EA Sports' NHL 08 (for the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3) producer David Littman recently made a blog entry for the next hockey sports title and passed new gameplay features and improvements that players might be interested to know. And according to him, from now until shipment, fans of the game can keep checking blogged updates on new developments.
But first, let's see what EA Sports has in store for the new hockey successor to NHL 07, featuring cover athlete Eric "Gunner" Staal this time around. Littman pointed out that all the NHL 07 skating issues have been addressed and that players should have complete, 100 control over each of their players.
"Overall, our goal is to create the tools and the brain of an NHL player, input them into our game, and then leave the rest to you," blogged Littman. So expect brief flicks on control sticks should equate to a precise unique reaction on a player in the game, like a 10...

Game Informer managed to squeeze out some sweet info from Producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi of the DMC series. You guys are probably keeping your eyes peeled for anything Devil May Cry 4, so we're sure you'd want to read this 'til the end.
Kobayashi reconfirmed that Dante will get a piece of the action, but he won't be unlockable. Our demon slayer in red will be made available to play as story unfolds. "He is not an unlockable bonus character, but is playable as part of the game s storyline, said Kobayashi.
Other characters from earlier in the series will be playable too, but we don't know yet who they'll be. I can t reveal who, but there will be characters from the series appearing in the game. That s something you ll have to play the game to find out! It would be pretty cool to swing the Yamato as Vergil again, but this blogger is rooting for Lady.
Picking up new weapons from enemy bosses is a thing in the past, but Nero will be learning new ...

Multi-animal mayhem and cartoony violence headed your way in this debut trailer of Wideload Games' Hail to the Chimp for the PlayStation 3. We give you the sneak peek into the game that looks to bring back the rip-roaring slapstick humor that the likes of Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck pioneered.
As usual, the graphics are looking gorgeous, with some nifty cel-shading going on with the environment and the characters. The sound effects are sharp and have impact, and they certainly remain faithful to the slapstick POWs and WHAMs. The backdrops are also looking pretty sweet, but from the looks of the frantic gameplay of beating the stuffing out of each other, you probably won't even have time to appreciate them.
Certainly a bold title coming from the likes of Wideload Games and GameCock. More updates about Hail to the Chimp as we get them - in the meantime, enjoy the video.
