As you know, I’ve been trying to get PS3Wiki off the ground, but it’s a monumental task. I was thinking that I could have a contest to win a PS3 game. What you’d have to do to win a PS3 game is to create a PS3Wiki games page for a PS3 game. The content has [...]

The word on some forums is that Team Xecuter will be releasing a simple "adapter" for the PS3 that is cheap and easy to use. It is reported that the "adapter" is set to work with their still-upcoming PS3 Hyperdrive. The adapter will be ready in 3 weeks in time for Paradox Loader, which is real, and works/loads in a method that is "similar to psp"
If in case you're a bit confused, we'll run through it again for you. Remember those rumors about a PS3 ISO loader by Internet release group paradox? The one Max F. reported on last December, and the one we reported to be undergoing testing around a week ago? Well, a post by Xecuter on the Team Xecuter forums confirms that the Paradox Loader works. He says:
I am releasing a simple adapter first that is cheap and easy to use - will be ready in 3 weeks in time for Paradox Loader (which works)
The adapter Xecuter was talking about, is an early release just so that PS3 users can hook up larger drives with ease while while th...

UT fans all around the world are clamoring: "When is it coming out?" It's probably gotten loud enough to get Epic tone-deaf. So now Jeff Morris, Epic Games' lead producer, bravely takes center-stage to answer a few questions from Billy Berghammer from Game Informer.
As said before in Midway's Gamer's Day in sin city Vegas, the name change of Unreal Tournament 3 was based solely because the game will represent the third generation technology of the Unreal 3 engine. Although some speculation revolved around the name-change were mainly focused on the release date, the game is still expected to come out by 2007, although that's just a hope.
The PC and Xbox 360 versions are probably first to ship, although the PS3 may also see a release date close enough to the first releases. UT3 may also sport Xbox 360, PS3 and PC interconnectivity for online play, but they will wait and see how other games doing this will turn out first.
The game, thankfully, will not be a Vist...

During the recently held Konami s 2007 San Francisco Gamers Day, the company showcased their 2007 lineup of games with some announced titles also seeing the first light right there in San Francisco.
It's gonna be a great year for DS users, with a total of eight games lined up for release this year, unlike the PS3 which, if the lineup isn't altered, will only have one Konami game spinning on the sleek console (whatever happened to MGS4, we dunno). So anyway, here's Konami's 2007 lineup as revealed during Gamers Day:

Set to make its way to the Xbox360 and PS3 is the Artoon-developed thriller game Vampire's Rain (also known simply as "Rain") where, as we've mentioned earlier, will have players literally grappling in the dark trying to make out which ones in the crowd are blood-thirsty fiends and which are just plain... pale-skinned. (Or something.)
Anyhoo, players will get to take on the role of special operative John Lloyd as you try to wipeout them vampires (operative word is TRY) lurking in suburban L.A. And since this is essentially a vampire-hunting game, expect a lot of dark elements to come bleeding through your screens. If you wanna get a preview of just how dark and taunting this game will be, here's the Nightwalker Stalking gameplay vid courtesy of GameTrailers to give you that much needed quick-see of the game. Enjoy!
If the video doesn't work, just go through the "Via" link below and head on over to GameTrailers.

Xbox360 users were pissed when they found out that the Def Jam: Icon demo was delayed, so to cool your heads off, we brought you the soundtrack details instead. We know that the soundtrack in no way compares to the demo, but hey, it's still better than nuthin', right? And to further keep you preoccupied while waiting for that demo, here's another trailer we were able to score, which shows us how to work the Directional Attacks feature in the game.
As we've been telling you guys, the music will define your gameplay, so obviously, music will play a huge role in your gameplay. I mean, why else would they let you create your own playlist, eh? And as the General Manager of EA Chicago also points out in the vid below, even the use of the environment in the core fighting system will be sync'd to the beat of the in-game music.
But enough with the chitchat, we'll just let you check out the vid below which should teach you how to work the directional attacks with controls tutor...

Argos is now accepting pre-orders of the long-awaited next-gen console. UK customers can now pre-order their own PS3 ahead of the launch, but with a six month, 0 interest payment plan on credit. Delivery to the home isn't free though and adds another 5 (US 9.83) to the total costs.
It is widely believed that other well-known UK retailers will follow suit soon, while Sony has been in constant contact with them with regards to the launch. We could be more certain that they probably are talking with GAME to see if they can offer a similar payment option.
With the questions of the PS3's hefty price tag for Europe and the UK, this is probably Sony's best move yet to appease the European market after hinting a no-price-cut policy.
Check the Read link below for more info on how to register for your pre-order.

We thought it was left in the dust and all. But guess what decided, after quite some time of dead silence, to surface once again? Frontlines: Fuel of War (PS3, 360, and PC) is still very much alive, and we're thinking just one word: Shellshock. That's pertaining to the effect of what these new screen could do.
Now before we reveal the screens, time for a bit of a refresher course. What we do know about this new THQ game is that it's slated for a release later this year. It's using the Unreal Engine 3 (oh joy!) and will have you pitted in the middle of vicious global warfare over oil. The story is set some 20-odd years into the future, when the Western Coalition (U.S./NATO) wages a battle with the Red Star Alliance (Russia/China).
There are no Locust hordes nor Chimera threats here, but still, set in the future, it's very much a sci-fi game in essence. Check out all the technology and hi-tech military weapons. Look at the pictures... There's a mini-hel...

Microsoft and Sony are both aggressively preparing to migrate chief components of their latest consoles to 65nm silicon-on-Insulator (SOI) technology production in order to help shrink the gap between retail prices and production costs.
iSuppli's research shows that at present, manufacturing costs of the 20GB and 60GB PS3 are around US 306.85 and US 241.35 more than current retail prices. iSuppli also notes of Microsoft's situation saying that the Xbox 360 Premium package priced at US 399 actually costs the company US 525 to produce. The DigiTimes reports that:
during a recent Sony investor conference, the company said that it has already started production of various sized chipsets on 65nm node and noted that die-size could be shrunk by 40 in comparison to 90nm process, indicating that corresponding costs could be reduced along with the reduction in die size.
On the Microsoft side of things, they've announced last April that they would start ...

Not so long ago we told you that Amazon Deutschland (Germany) was offering PS3 pre-orders for 599 Euros providing you buy a 199 Euro PSP as well. Now it looks like this idea is spreading, with HMV, a large music, DVD and video games retailer from the UK, refusing to accept PS3 pre-orders unless the buyer agrees to buy a PSP too. It isn't the standard PSP pack either: the HMV online store asks you to buy a 4GB PSP pack as well as the 425 console, bringing the grand total of the bundle to 675 ($875).
The e-mail containing this message was sent to everyone who has signed up on the HMV website to receive updates on the PS3 console and says: "Anyone who takes advantage of this offer will get priority over other HMV.co.uk customers for the PlayStation 3." You will also get Killzone Liberation and Gangs of London for the PSP with this offer. With many saying that the price of the PS3 is too high already, this will not go down well with buyers. Then there's PS...
