Fans of Namco Bandai's popular versus game will now have the latest installment to look forward to, as Tekken 6 finally makes its presence known. Earlier today we were able to see the trailer for the upcoming Japanese arcade version of the game, and now what we have are fresh screenies as well as a pair of wallpapers, straight from the still-sorta-empty official Tekken 6 site.
As people may have noticed, the game introduces yet another two characters to the Tekken menagerie: Leo and Zafina. Though we still have no information about these new characters, some Tekken aficionados among our staff have already started debating whether Leo's fighting style resembles a cross between Jun Kazama and Julia, and whether Zafina's moves resemble either Christie's or Lili's. One was given strange looks for commenting that Zafina seemed like Dragunov's relative (and all this just from watching the trailer...).
Anyway, while we wait for the official site to start filling up wit...

Since it turns out the console-specific features listed by EB Games in the up-and-coming game Spider-Man 3 (PS3, 360, Wii) were unofficial and unconfirmed, let's just focus on the title itself. Treyarch's Executive Producer Chris Archer mentioned the last time around that the latest version of the game probably holds the record for the largest Manhattan setting in the franchise's history.
Free-play mode in large New York setting. Imagine wearing the black suit and exploring the huge map doing, well, whatever you want to do. But since you have the dark suit on, why not suit yourself and perform dark deeds? After all, it is always more fun to be the bad guy.
The point is, the game has so much potential and Activision knows this very well. That is why it is really pushing the game.
Anyhow, it will still be months before the game comes out so we all have time to practice our much cherished web-slinging techniques.

IGN Australia did a little preview of MotorStorm, and they didn’t have very many good things to say. They had lots of bad stuff to say, however. They thought the game felt slow. And there was too much lag when playing the game on a local PS3 network of 8 people.
What’s that?
Yup, they said they [...]

Back in the good old days when televisions came in both black&white and colour, my brothers and I would play games on our Atari. Games like Ballblazer, Joust, Galaxian, Archon, QIX, and Q*Bert. Ah, those were the good old days. When men were men and games were quick & fun.
Earlier this year we heard that [...]

While wireless headset manufacturers battle one another to shrink their wares until they completely disappear into your ear canal, organizers of the Switched-On London lighting festival (not named, unfortunately, after the excellent column by NPD's Ross Rubin) have taken the opposite tack: for one week in February, they've transformed the famous Tower Bridge into the world's largest Bluetooth device (narrowly edging out the PS3). Using multi-colored lights strung across the length of the upper walkway, technicians have created a gigantic interactive exhibit wherein sensors located at either end detect travelers' Bluetooth-enabled gadgets (cellphones, laptops, PDA's, etc.) and then track their progress in pseudo-real-time as they move across the bridge. Visually, the movement is represented by a uniquely-colored pixel appearing at more-or-less the same spot on the walkway as the device; to a faraway observer, it would look like this single "pixel" was m...

Some critics ask how the Blu-Ray format can be a strong point for the PS3 if it is being cracked left and right. And now we find another Blu-Ray-related hack on YouTube. The user who uploaded the video uses the avatar "hacked2123" and is a member of online site PS3News.com.
The video clip apparently shows how hacked2123 was able to play a Blu-Ray movie on the PS3 without the disc. We just want to inform you on what level the format has been hacked at this point in time.

Yesterday, we shared with you gaming site 1UP's interview with Sony Studios Worldwide president Phil Harrison, and it gave a sneak preview of the company's future plans.
Harrison specifically used phrases like "a couple of exclusive announcements," "digital data," and "digital distribution" - no matter how you connect those phrases, they amount to content download.
Sony's main competitor Microsoft is offering games online, but you already know that Sony is doing the same as well. Now, what does the Xbox 360 have that the PS3 still doesn't? That's right, HD downloads for movies and TV shows, so the speculation now is that Phil Harrison was hinting at HDTV movie downloads. Even online site TV Predictions is speculating about the same thing.
After all, Sony owns movie and TV companies all over the place.

Finally some news about Tekken 6, there has been no info about this game since the disappointing video at last years E3. Tekken 6 will be a arcade game and a PS3 game! The arcade game will basically use a PS3-based arcade board. So porting will be very simple.
This game will have the greatest character [...]
